About GPTImage3

GPTImage3 is an independent, free wallpaper site dedicated to ChatGPT Image 2— OpenAI's GPT-4o vision-and-image model. We curate, super-resolve, and host the AI-generated images that actually survive being installed as your real lock screen, desktop background, or tablet wall: high contrast, clear focal point, breathing room for the system UI.

Our editorial principles

Anyone can paste a prompt into an image model and get pictures. The interesting job is filtering: out of every 100 generations, perhaps 5 work as wallpapers. We screen for four things, in this order:

  1. Vertical-first composition. The subject must survive a 9:16 crop without losing its meaning.
  2. System-UI breathing room. The top third and bottom fifth of the image must be clear enough to read time, weather, and the dock against. Busy backgrounds get rejected.
  3. Limited palette. Two-to-four dominant colors so app icons stay legible. Anything over six colors is treated as a poster, not a wallpaper.
  4. Single focal point.Multi-subject images compete with the user's widgets and almost always lose.

How content is produced

The pipeline is intentionally boring and reproducible:

  1. Source. We start from prompt workflows and reference shots curated by the team. Every prompt is documented in the post body so you can reproduce it yourself.
  2. Generate.ChatGPT Image 2 produces 4-8 candidates per prompt. The model's strength on faces, hands, and inline text means we rarely need a touch-up pass.
  3. Curate. A human reviewer accepts the candidates that meet the four editorial principles above. Maybe 1 in 5 makes the cut.
  4. Super-resolve. Selected images go through a 2K upscaling pass via the NewBrush API at download time so what you save is crisp at 4K monitor scale.
  5. Publish. Every wallpaper is tagged with its category (Anime, Game, Fantasy, Sci-Fi, Sports, Poster, Prompt Workflow) and given an AI-written description grounded in the actual image composition.

Who runs GPTImage3

GPTImage3 is an independent, one-person operation in 2026 — the maintainer's handle is shuishen2025, available on Gitee where the full source code for the site lives. The brand may add contributors as the project grows; until then every editorial call, every prompt, every super-resolution check is one person.

We do not run advertising, paid promotion, sponsorship deals, or paid placements. The site is funded directly by its maintainer.

How we evaluate ourselves

We track three things publicly — for honesty's sake:

  • Index coverage— how many wallpapers Google has actually indexed. A new wallpaper site sits at zero for weeks; that's normal.
  • Core Web Vitals (LCP / INP / CLS)— reported via Google Analytics 4 and audited daily via the public PageSpeed Insights API.
  • Download success rate— how often the super-resolution flow returns a real 2K file in under 8 seconds.
